September 28: "CRISPR - Bacterial Defense to Genomic Editing". Dr. Paul Schweiger from Missouri State University's Biology Department will discuss the CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technique and how it has been used to fight diseases and enhance agriculture, as well as the ethical issues of this new technique.
